Refund Policy
Version 1.4 · in effect from
What a paid plan is, when a payment is refunded, how cancelling works, and how to ask. This policy is part of the Terms of Service and carries their version.
What you are paying for
A paid plan is a monthly subscription, priced per seat in Sri Lankan rupees and charged in rupees through PayHere. It gives your organisation a larger daily AI allowance, more storage and more seats. Every plan, including the free one, has every feature.
There is nothing to deliver. The larger allowance, storage and seats apply to your organisation as soon as PayHere confirms the payment, and your subscription page shows them.
When a payment is refunded
A clear billing error is always refunded, in full — for example a charge taken twice, or a charge for a plan you did not buy.
A monthly fee is not refunded once the month has started. Cancelling stops the next payment, and everything already paid for keeps working until the end of the month you paid for.
An annual purchase would be refundable pro rata within the first 14 days. No annual plan is sold at the moment, so this applies to none of today’s plans.
Outside these rules, ATLAS may still refund a payment where it judges that fair. That is a decision made case by case, not an entitlement.
How a refund is paid
A refund goes back to the card or account that paid, in rupees, through PayHere — never in another currency, and never to a different card or account. How long it takes to arrive depends on PayHere and your bank. A refund is recorded on your organisation’s invoices as a separate document; the original invoice is never altered.
Cancelling
There is no cancel button in ATLAS yet, so cancelling is done on request. An organisation’s administrator writes to [email protected]. ATLAS staff stop the monthly payment at PayHere shortly before your next payment date, so the month already paid for is used in full and nothing more is charged after it. You are told when it is done.
Once the payment has stopped, the larger AI allowance ends. Your organisation’s members, content and reading stay exactly as they are; ATLAS removes nothing.
If a payment fails
Reading and learning never stop. You are told, and you have 14 days to pay again from your organisation’s billing page; after that, AI extras pause until a payment goes through. Nothing is refunded or charged twice because a payment failed.
How to ask for a refund
Write to [email protected] and say which organisation and which payment it is about — the invoice number from your organisation’s invoices is enough. ATLAS staff check the request with the organisation’s administrator before acting, make any refund themselves, and tell you the outcome either way.
The rest of the terms on which paid plans are offered are in the Terms of Service.
